Use & Care

• Use a soft cloth, clean with a mild soap or detergent and warm water, do not let it soak.

• Rinse with clear water and dry with a soft cloth.

• Treat regularly whole wood cutting board and handles with Maintenance Wax (product no. 215019).

Purpose of the Wax 
Specially formulated to nourish, protect, and extend the life of SmartStation Wood accessories. With regular use, the wax creates a protective barrier while gradually developing a natural patina that enhance the richness and beauty of the wood grain. 

Recommended Frequency 
Once a month, or whenever the accessory appears dry or faded. 

Application Method 

1. Ensure the accessory is clean and completely dry.

2. Apply a generous amount of wax using a clean, dry cloth. 

3. Rub firmly to warm the wax and allow it to penetrate the wood fibers.

4. Let rest for 15 minutes. For optimal results, allow up to 24 hours.

5. Wipe off any excess and polish with a dry cloth.

6. Repeat regularly to maintain protection and appearance.

• Do not let wood cutting board or stainless steel accessories soak or allow any liquid to stand on it for extended periods of time.

• Do not cut fish or poultry on the wood cutting board without previous surface treatment (use mineral oil or Maintenance Wax).

• Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring powders.

• Avoid metallic wire sponge or scouring pads.  

• Do not place in dishwasher.  

• Do not use in microwave oven, oven or on range top. 

• Place in the dishwasher or clean with a soft cloth using mild soap or detergent and warm water. Do not soak.

• Dry with a soft cloth.

Purpose of the Wax 
Regular application forms a protective layer that helps prevent water marks dans minimizes the appearance of knife marks, preserving the accessory’s refined finish. 

Recommended Frequency 
Once a month, or when fading or visible knife marks appear. 

Application Method

1. Ensure the accessory is clean and completely dry.

2. Apply a very thin layer of wax with a dry cloth, using circular motions.

3. Wipe off any excess and polish with a dry cloth until a uniform matte finish is achieved.

4. Allow to dry for 12-24 hours before use.

5. Repeat regularly for long lasting performance and appearance. 

• Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring powders.

• Avoid metallic wire sponge or scouring pads.  

• Do not use in microwave oven, oven or on range top. 

If the front-to-back offset of your accessories requires adjustment to account for countertop cutout tolerances, the adjustment feet are to be used as instructed below.
